Brave and Happy
Mom is hovering before Rigel sends us on our way... Upon asking throughout the first week if he liked school, the teacher, etc., Rigel stated, "The teacher is mean. I don't like her. She spanked me and threw me in the trash can." Rigel's perception of the ultimate worst-case-scenario is to be thrown away in the trash can... gotten rid of. :( After discussing these conversations with the teacher, she reassured us that she never spanks, and would lose her job if she ever did.
Despite our happy first day photos, we have decided after a week of class time to find a different preshcool for Rigel, for reasons not specifically relating to our son's report. He just wasn't very comfortable there.
